The Census, an opportunity to perform the equivalent of a sit down protest.
For members of the Libertarian, Reform, and Republican parties who agree, at least in part, that Government is too big and intrusive, the Census provides a wonderful opportunity to do something. NOTHING! That's right, if the Census is boycotted by members of all of these parties, as well as like minded Independents, then funds won't be sent to the State and/or Local Municipalities. No additional, or perhaps even reduced Revenues might start to get us closer to reduced Government - not by much, but any progress is a good thing. There would also then be a bigger surplus, for us to continue to demand be refunded to the Taxpayers who have had that money extorted from their paychecks.
Hey Big Brother, if you want us to fill out our Census forms: PAY US - give us $1,000 a head of our money back that you've extorted in the name of Taxation and it might be worth our time, and you'd get back more than 42% (Census forms returned as of March 15 - source: WWJ 760AM Radio Detroit Mi.) of your forms!!
