1982 DeLorean DMC-12, ready for the road. This is a Driving Vehicle, not a Museum peice - some people just don't get what a DMC is all about!! The D was the original "Drivers Wanted" Car that VW uses as their ad slogan.

This D has 62,000 Miles with 60,000 Mile service completed by/from an Original DeLorean Dealership and a certified DMC Mechanic. There are several DeLoreans with original engines well over 200,000 miles (and you'll meet those D's and their owners if you go to the D'Owners events. The Stainless Steel panels have NO damage. Undercarraige is clean. V-6 engine is clean and still has it's original get-up-and-go go go. Interior, original light Gray, Leather. Added benefits include: Cup Holders and Cruise Control, which were not available in the original DeLorean (and can be removed, to complete return this vehicle back to Stock status). Standard equipment 5 speed Manual Transmission, as it should be - I passed up many Automatics to find this beauty 2 years ago. (Personally, if you ask me, though you didn't, I'll say that an Automatic D' doesn't idle right - but you have to be a D' owner to understand what that means!)

Remember, this is a 1982 vehicle, and is still ahead of its time by the standards of today, but take a moment to remember what you had in a 1980's downsized, fuel-effeciency regulated items that took all the guts out of your V-8. The D's V-6, even with the U.S. Speed Regulator in place, has as much get up and go as a V-8 of the 80's, and the Top end; I'd love to take that regulator off and zoom through Montana at NO SPEED LIMIT and really see/feel the Top-end. Some BTTF 160MPH Speedometers are probably still available, like I had in my first D' and she was up to 140 and plenty of room to go FASTER. Now that I'm older, I re-obtained a D' out of sheer appreciation of the Vehicle, not it's available speed; and I suggest you keep a reign-in on your Right foot when you take my baby-girl, because she is smooth and you're up in the 60's without warming your foot, or the D', up, nor out of 3rd gear. For this very reason, the previous owner had the optional Cruise Control installed!!! Makes those long trips nice, smooth, and Speeding ticket free; if you use it right!

After all these 20+ years, the DeLorean, when treated right; and this one is; the unique DeLorean aroma can be inhaled and appreciated just as they were when they rolled off the assembly line. No, it's not just because of the Leather interior, it is because of the Unizue Interior Leather and Extra-ordinary Leather care product of the D-care kit!!

This was my SECOND DeLorean, and it will NOT be my last. Once I'm passed my outside-inflicted Financial hardship that is forcing me to sell this at a great-price-to-you, I will be back looking to re-aquire another 5-speed DMC-12.

Know what you are getting for your money . . .
I have provided several pictures for review (below descriptive text). In addition to the obvious, you get a great DMC at a great price, you will receive my Personal pledge to assist you in any questions that you may have about the DMC-12 in the future. Where to get parts, and yes they are readily available! Where to obtain Service! etc.... You're not just going to buy a DeLorean and be left wondering.

If you wish to completely guard your upcoming investment in a DeLorean masterpeice, I will be willing to take the Vehicle to a location of your choosing (within a 20 Mile, or so, radius of my home city - Wyandotte, MI 48192-4115) for inspection - several appraisal and/or vehicle inspection sites can be found via Yahoo near me. You are responsible for arranging the inspection and their payment with the establishment of your choice, confirm date/time willl be OK for me, and I will need to insist to ensure you are a SERIOUS buyer and will need to receive a non-refundable $100 Deposit. YOU WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING FOR SURE. Is anyone else offering to do this to protect you??

As there is a Lein-holder, Payment will best be made by working with/through your local Bank/CreditUnion with my Credit Union (Wyandotte Federal Credit Union) to make a wire transfer and the release of the Title directly to YOU or you and your Financial Institution if you're financing. Otherwise -- Payment will need to be made by Cashiers Check to myself AND my Credit Union, they will clear the Title and you can Drive off with this DeLorean Masterpeice, or if you need it shipped the sole responsibility for Shipping arrangements are yours - but I will do what I can to assist.
